Nurse Call Systems

During a medical emergency response time is critical. You need a system that enables workers to raise an alert quickly, with a one-to-many communications approach indicating what action is required and where. The outcome is a coordinated workplace response that improves worker outcomes.

Orisent's range of nurse call devices are supported by a robust operating system, and optional smartphone app and web-based user portal. Each system is designed for your specific site needs.

Nurse Call Trigger

Available with a radio frequency or cellular wireless network connection. Lightweight, easy to mount or move, and easy to use.

HOW IT WORKS:
  1. in a medical emergency worker presses the silver button to trigger a nurse call alert
  2. lights indicate the alert has been sent and received
  3. site office staff are notified via the Touchscreen Control Unit (TCU)
  4. if subscribed to the software, alerts are also sent to app users and nominated personnel via SMS
This trigger can be used as part of a nurse call system or a nurse call + evacuation system.

Combined Nurse Call Trigger + Evacuation Siren

Available with a radio frequency or cellular wireless network connection. Lightweight, easy to mount or move, and easy to use.

HOW IT WORKS:
  1. in a medical emergency worker presses the silver button to trigger a nurse call alert
  2. lights indicate the alert has been sent and received
  3. site office staff are notified via the Touchscreen Control Unit (TCU)
  4. if subscribed to the software alerts also sent to app users and nominated personnel via SMS
Note the siren is for an evacuation event - it does not sound during a nurse call alert.

Can be used as part of a nurse call system or a nurse call + evacuation system.

Touchscreen Control Unit

The Touchscreen Control Unit (TCU) enables you to receive nurse call alerts, coordinate a response, and view event logs for auditing and reporting.

It also allows you to manage your system on site. The TCU connects to the rest of the system using radio frequency networking, or via the cloud (when connected to the internet). Simply plug it into a power source, position devices, name them with a level and location, and it's ready to go.

HOW IT WORKS:
  1. in a medical emergency a worker triggers a nurse call alert from a connected trigger
  2. the alert is received by the TCU, where users can choose to accept or decline to respond
  3. lights on the triggering device indicate the alert has been received and someone has accepted to respond
  4. real time event logs indicate which users have also received the alert and whether or not they are responding
  5. any users who have accepted to respond can then escalate the alert
If subscribed to the smartphone app and user portal, all information is transmitted in real time via the cloud.

Wearable Nurse Call Trigger

Workers can use these Bluetooth enabled wearables to request help when they are not close to a nurse call trigger.

With a rechargeable battery and a watch or lanyard wearing option, these use the closest Vanguard Wireless device to tell you the worker's geographic AND vertical location.

HOW IT WORKS:
  1. wearable is assigned to a worker (e.g. User 05, Simone - Electrician)
  2. when the button is pressed, the wearable transmits the alert via the closest enabled device (trigger, siren or optional smartphone app)
  3. an alert is sent to the Touchscreen Control Unit (TCU), app users, and nominated personnel via SMS clearly indicating who and where help is required (e.g. user 05, Simone - Electrician, lvl 12, south stairwell)
  4. the alert can be escalated to a request for medical assistance by responders
Can be used as part of a nurse call system or nurse call + evacuation system.
